We spent several weeks in the mountains of Mexico this summer collecting samples for our recently funded project on the comparative phylogeography of Mexican pine-oak birds and herps. The bird crew and the herp crew played well together and we both found our target species. Special thanks to our friends at the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León and Universidad Juárez del Estado de Durango for their help! ¡Viva México! [MLZ blog about trip to El Cielo]
